“How to Wrangle a Cowboy” by Joanne Kennedy is a contemporary western romance. This is book three in the “Decker Ranch” series. It can read as a standalone. This is veterinarian Lindsey Ward and ranch foreman Shane Lockhart ‘s story.
Lindsey has a veterinarian practice in Charleston. She hasn’t been home in a long time due to a disagreement with her grandfather. Lindsey’s grandfather died and left her his Wyoming ranch. Shane is foreman on her grandfather’s ranch. He wonders whether he will keep his job and home. This is a real concern for Shane with raising his son alone. Plus, Shane has always been attracted to Lindsey.
The book is full of drama, suspense, romance, misunderstandings, and heartfelt moments. There is a lot going on in this story, but the author keeps your attention with all the twist and turns in the story.
A sweet and passionate romance. The characters were very likable. I enjoyed the descriptions of the ranch and landscapes. A very enjoyable book.
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley/Sourcebooks for an honest review. FYI, contains mature content.
